Today, August 7th, 2017, is the 85th day of the 90 Days of Hope campaign. We are spending the next 6 days inviting millions of people to wear Red, Black and Green on Sunday, August 13, 2017.
6 days from today will be the Reddest, Blackest and Greenest day ever. August 13, 2017 will begin the 97th year since Red, Black and Green were designated the colors of all Black people at home and abroad. We encourage you to take the RBG Challenge by wearing Red, Black and Green on August 13. Doing so sends a message of hope, makes a statement of global unity and demonstrates mental emancipation.
We also have taken the liberty of designating August 13th as World Melanin Day. Our ancestors invoked uniquely high science by designating Red for the blood, Black for the people and Green for the motherland, Africa. Melanin puts the “B” in RBG and it puts the Black in Red, Black and Green. Melanin is currently worth over $350 a gram more than gold. What better day to raise awareness of the aromatic biopolymer and organic semiconductor that makes Black people black than August 13th, the day our flag was consecrated?
