We now realize internalizing information about melanin’s dollar value began a healing crisis inside us during June of 2014. We experienced headaches, pain, and difficulty sleeping for two weeks. The last day of the healing crisis we had an event scheduled which we could not attend for we were bedridden with pain. At first we thought it was due to a change in work responsibility. Once it subsided we realized it was something more. We had begun to let go of the limitations that had been imposed upon our thinking from the beginning of our education. We were not just letting go of old ideas, we were experiencing the expansion of our neural network with mind altering information about Black people, our destiny and our place in the universe.
With that we present the videos where we first encountered Dr. Frances Cress Welsing. These are part of the “For The People” television program hosted by Listervelt Middleton. By watching “For The People” we learned about Dr. John Henrik Clarke, Dr. Yosef Ben Yochannon, Dr. Ivan Van Sertima, Dr. Naim Akbar, Dr. Charshee C. L. McIntyre, Dr. Asa G. Hilliard and others whom we have dubbed “The Awakeners.” It is through these videos that we learned about melanin. Enjoy!!!

The Mhotep Corporation uses its Keyamsha The Awakening brand to heighten perceptions and expand awareness. By producing content that engages, entertains and educates we create value for value relationships with our audience for mutual benefit.
Mhotep is derived from the name of the architect and builder of the first pyramid in Kemet, so-called ancient Egypt.
I formed the Mhotep Corporation in 2003 to produce and distribute 3D animation videos based on traditional African stories. Since then it has evolved to being a media production company including books.

Born and educated in Washington, D.C. I have traveled to several places including Haiti, the Bahamas, Mexico, Canada, Nigeria (several times), Ethiopia (several times), Benin, Togo, and South Africa.
