One God! One Aim! One Destiny!
The preamble to the Universal Negro Improvement Association and African Communities League (UNIA-ACL) Constitution explains the purpose of the document and the organization it defines. Written by UNIA-ACL first President-General Marcus Mosiah Garvey himself, it lets us know where the UNIA motto of “One God! One Aim! One Destiny!” fits into the concept of the organization. It’s slogan is “Africa for the Africans, at home and abroad.” The full Constitution is available at Hathi Trust.
